Das erste Jahr Professur – zwei ehemalige Mentees berichten von ihren Erfahrungen
In der Gesprächsrunde geben zwei Professorinnen Einblicke in die Anfangszeit der Professur. Anne-Kristin Kuhnt ist Professorin für Demographie an der Universität Rostock. Ihre Arbeitsschwerpunkte sind u.a. Fertilitätsdynamiken, Reproduktionsmedizin, Biopolitik, Migration, demographische Prozesse und soziale Integration internationaler Migrant:innen. Morana Lukač ist Assistent Professorin an der Universität Groningen, Niederlande. Ihr Hauptforschungsinteresse gilt dem Verständnis des Zusammenspiels zwischen Sprache, Linguistik, Präskriptivismus. In dieser Veranstaltung wird es nicht um die jeweiligen Forschungsschwerpunkte der beiden Professorinnen gehen, sondern um die Gelegenheit, Einblicke in die vorangegangenen Berufungsverfahren und den Einstieg in die Professur mit all ihren Herausforderungen zu bekommen. Beide Professorinnen sind ehemalige Mentees aus dem Programm „KarriereWegeMentoring Wissenschaft“ an der Universität Rostock / Universitätsmedizin Rostock.
The first year as a professor - two former mentees talk about their experiences
In the round table discussion, two professors provide insights into the early days of the professorship. Anne-Kristin Kuhnt is Professor of Demography at the University of Rostock. Her work focuses on fertility dynamics, reproductive medicine, biopolitics, migration, demographic processes and the social integration of international migrants. Morana Lukač is an assistant professor at the University of Groningen, Netherlands. Her main research interest is understanding the interplay between language, linguistics and prescriptivism. This event will not focus on the respective research interests of the two professors, but will provide an opportunity to gain insights into the previous appointment procedures and the entry into the professorship with all its challenges. Both professors are former mentees from the "KarriereWegeMentoring Wissenschaft" programme at the University of Rostock / Rostock University Medical Centre.
