Pd Dr. Haidar Dafsari from the Cologne University Hospital will present the online lecture "Non-motor effects of deep brain stimulation in Parkinson's disease".
The lecture is hosted by projects C04 and IRTG (Prof. Storch). Abstract: Deep brain stimulation is a well-established and safe treatment option for patients with advanced Parkinson's disease, improving quality of life, motor and non-motor symptoms. This talk will present current research on the non-motor effects of deep brain stimulation in Parkinson's disease and highlight the opportunities and challenges of this therapy for a personalized treatment of patients.
