The selection procedure of the European Commission
In order to increase the chances of applicants to the "Concours", this is the name of the selection procedure of the European Commission, the Federal Foreign Office offers preparatory seminars, consultation and coaching for Concours participants. The following recommendations are given:
- Contemporary look up the tenders on the website of the Federal Foreign Office and in the newsletter.
- Regularly order newsletter 'A career in Europe'.
- Use electronic learning platform for preparation.

Internship and traineeships at EU institutions
Almost all EU institutions offer graduates the opportunity to complete internships. An internship is an excellent option to get to know the work in the European Union directly. The application will be implemented as part of a structured online procedure in which applicants register in a database and are selected by the institutions. Note the application deadlines for the five-month internships, which start regularly in spring and autumn.
